Consent first

No cookies other than a single technical consent record are set before you choose. Google Consent Mode is initialised with every category denied by default; scripts only load after you press Accept.

Strictly necessary

gambocco_consent — stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to any server. It records whether you accepted or rejected analytics so we do not ask again. Duration: until you clear it or 12 months.

Analytics (optional)

Google Tag Manager container GTM-WNMSCHJD may load Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) used to count visits and understand which articles are read. Duration: up to 24 months. These load only with your consent.

The Substack newsletter box is an iframe served by substack.com and may set its own cookies once it loads. If you never interact with it, no subscription data is created. Ko-fi links are plain outbound links — no cookies are set by us when you click them.

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to reopen the banner and change your answer at any moment. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings.
